CHIA JAMS

I have been inspired to make homemade jams from Niomi Smart book ,, home madeEat Smart,,. The recipe in the book was so easy that I thought why not to try it. Jams that we are buying from the shops are not that good comparing with homemade jam.  Of course!! ;ooo  It’s almost as delicious jam as which my grandma used to do it for me when I was a kid. It was so funny making these chia jams last week because my husband eats both of these jars in two days.  I can say I am definitely recommending to try to make these homemade jams! x

 

INGREDIENTS: 

350g strawberries or  2 large oranges pealed and 80g apricots

 2 tsbsp chia seeds

2 tbsp lemon juice

2 tbsp maple syrup (I put a little bit more)

Chop the strawberries/oranges and apricots and place in a medium saucepan with 2 tablespoons water. Set over a high heat, bring to the boil and turn the heat down to medium-low.Mask the strawberries/oranges and apricots in the pan with a fork and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the chia seeds with the lemon juice and maple syrup. Allow to cool and set for at least 15 minutes before serving. This jam will stay up to 2 weeks in the fridge.
